Jane Sibbett began acting on television, scoring her first big break on the soap opera Santa Barbara where she took on the role of radio station program director Jane Wilson who had been working towards a degree in archaeology and paleontology, crediting the role for earning her a Soap Opera Digest Awards nomination for the Best Newcomer Award. The actress’s most popular credit is probably from the sitcom Friends where she was cast as Ross Geller’s lesbian ex-wife Carol Willick.
