O.J. SIMPSON – $3 MILLION

Though there is a lot to O.J. Simpson’s name, he is best known as “The Juice,” the iconic football running back of his generation. Besides being a legendary sportsman, O.J. is also an actor, TV producer, broadcaster, and advertising spokesman. Despite everything he has been through, the pro athlete remains affluent with a $3 million net worth of his own. Most of it may have come from his successful NFL career back then, starting in ’69. As he gradually rose to international stardom, O.J. demanded the largest contract in pro sports history worth $650,000 for five years.

Although his request resulted in great tension and standoff with the Buffalo Bills owner, Ralph Wilson, the latter eventually gave in. Who wanted to lose the best NFL player? No one. He would never be called O.J. for nothing. In case you did not know, his sports nickname meant electricity, given his speed and vigor in the field.
